Our Mission
To bring local women together in an atmosphere of generosity and community in order to provide anonymous, short-term financial assistance to eligible individuals and families who have exhausted all other options and for whom a small amount of money will make a significant difference.
About Womenade
We all know that when you have lemons, you make lemonade. So how about when you have a community full of women who love to have fun AND make a difference? You have Womenade!
The Womenade concept is simple, without any bureaucracy, and is founded on the friendship and generosity of women. There are so many needs in our community that can be met with small amounts of money. A utility bill, medicine for chronic situations, groceries to get a family by to payday, dentures for someone who can’t afford them.
Quarterly, Womenade of Madison Country will host a party where food and wine will be provided by our hostesses and sponsors. When you attend, you will be asked to make a $35 donation, 100% of which will go directly to the Womenade of Madison County fund. The WMC fund will be an important and valuable tool to two important organizations in our community: Care Assurance for the Aging and Homebound (CASA) of Madison Country and the WEDC Foundation.
Ann Anderson, Executive Director of CASA, and Janice Sanders, Executive Director of WEDC Foundation, in their regular care of their clients, often identify needs that cannot be met within the structure of their non‐profit. They get to know clients and families and their situations and see situations where a little help could make a big difference. Each director will have discretion to use their half of the WMC funds to assist clients with needs that may not be met in any other way or community resource.
What could be more rewarding? A great “ladies” night out for only $35 where you will help women and those less fortunate in our community while enjoying the company of other women, wine and food while networking and having fun!
You are not committing to every party by coming to one, so come to these parties whenever you would like. We will keep you on our mailing list to keep
you informed of upcoming events. You are also free to host, or help host, events in the future!
